My name is Dennis Stone and I am 27 years old. I am happily married with three
children: Brandi, Gavin, and Jakob. I had a large tumor removed from my leg on
the 18th of June and was told that it looked like it may be cancerous. After weeks
of waiting we finally found out that it was a Sarcoma but they were not sure what
type. A week after that we found out it was cancerous, I found out that it was
Ewing's Sarcoma which is a rare cancer that usually affects people from ages
10-20 but it can affect younger and older individuals. It is usually a bone cancer
but can also be a soft tissue cancer which is what I have. After going to see the
Oncologist I went and got a CT scan along with a Bone scan. This showed that I
have several small tumors in my lungs so I am currently going through
chemotherapy to shrink them. I will be on chemothereapy for 14 months getting
1 treatment every 3 weeks. I will need radiation as well but for now I do not have
a schedule for that. I will try to keep you all updated on my journey through this.
